ABOUT US John and Liz Heywood direct EMBRACE, a dynamic marriage outreach through East Bay Fellowship in Danville, California.  For over 20 years they have dedicated themselves to building strong and lasting marriages. John and Liz celebrate over 30 years of marriage and have two grown sons. John earned his master's degrees in Marriage and Family Counseling.  Liz earned her master's degree in Social Work with an emphasis on Individual & Family Counseling.  Both have spent thousands of hours helping couples resolve complicated marital issues. They bring an insightful and practical approach mixed with humor and their own candid stories of failure and success. The Heywood's lives are dedicated to building, strengthening and restoring one of the most important foundations in the church - marriage. Since 1983, they have been involved in full-time ministry. Four of those years they pioneered and pastored a successful church in Southern California.  John served on the pastoral staff at East Bay Fellowship in Danville, CA., for nearly ten years. In 2001, EMBRACE was created as a resource to serve and help people.
