SELAH

"A broken spirit the Lord does not despise." The Psalmist uses the term "Selah" to persuade the reader to pause & reflect on what has been written.  The pressures of ministry can sometimes lead to compromise in ethics &
relationships.  When this occurs, it often results in fractured families & loss of vision & hopelessness.  The scriptures declare that the gifts & calling of the pastor are irrevocable.  It is critical for the exited pastor & family to pause & reflect & learn from their experiences in order for them to return to productive service in God's kingdom. SELAH  exists to restore dignity, promote healing & renew vision for ministry leaders & their families.

Pastor John & Liz Heywood understand the daily pressures of fulltime ministry. They have been active in ministry for nearly 20 years; pioneering a church, overseeing a thriving counseling ministry, involved in church administration while participating in family life raising two children. On a personal level, John & Liz know the trauma and challenge of losing the position and support of the church they pastored with their hearts and souls. This event became a defining moment in the life and ministry of the Heywood's. The lessons they learned and the strength they drew from God and each other will encourage and inspire every broken ministry leader and partner. They have a passion to enable pastors and their wives to confront and work through the tough issues which we all come face to face with sometime in our ministry. As Mark said, " with man it's impossible but with God all things are possible. Their lives and marriage are a testimony to the awesome power and grace of a loving and merciful Father."
